The Dog Who Was There A Novel By: Ron Marasco First let me say I love the cover maybe it’s because I love dogs. It drew me to it like a magnet. As you travel the journey with Barley to Judea to Galilee you’ll see through eyes and hear through Barely ears the greatest story ever told. As Barley meets a woodcarver he finds love and peace. Then when they don’t come back home Barley goes on search for them, Barley goes to Jerusalem where he’s hoping to find his master. Barley gets to Jerusalem and there he meets Samid a man that steals but something starts to changes Samid, he is now Barely’s new master. As each Character brings a piece of the tapestry together the story will unfold through Barley. Barely is swept up in the nice mans teachings it starts to weave a picture of his struggles and of love, forgiveness, kindness. The story isn’t about Jesus but rather about the Teacher and His teachings. So as each piece of the tapestry is woven together you will see the greatest story ever told take place the way Barely see and hears it. This is a unique story. If you looking for a book that is page turner this defiantly is the book for you. It will have you wanting more. I received this beautiful book from booklookbloggers free for an honest review. Heavenly Horse Stories Inspiration Stories from Life in the Saddle By Rebecca E. Ondov I love the cove of the horse. The horse looks so pretty standing against the sunset. As you follow Rebecca on the trails you’ll learn God is even there. The horses are His creation beautiful, strong and wise. Horses love their human owners. Rebecca is a woman and seems to have been born on a horse. She followed her passion of wanting to find a job where she could be in the saddle. Finally she did land the job of her dreams for 15 years she would guide pack trips and become a professional wilderness ranger, exciting!!!! What I love about this book is Rebecca opens each story with an inspiring scripture, verse, tells a story of her experiences on the trail and then ends with a prayer. They are funny stories; scary and great stories of learning you do better if you’d listen to God and obey. Rebecca tells of facing your fears, handling your struggles, how to receive God’s forgiveness and forgiving yourself, most of all how to follow God’s direction even though it’s not what you want. The ones I felt sorry for were the mules. I did learn something about mules while reading this beautiful book something I have never heard or knew before. May you experience God in a whole new and wonderful way on the trails in Montana. I recommend this beautiful book highly. I received this book free from Harvest House for an honest review. The Women of Easter By: Liz Curtis Higgs Encounter the Savior with Mary of Bethany, Mary of Nazareth and Mary Magdalene As Liz tells the story of Lazarus Mary and Martha’s brother a story I have read in the Bible. Liz explained this story so well and in detail so you’d understand it. Remember when Martha “burst in”, “interrupting them” when Jesus was talking? Well Liz goes Really Martha? Remember Martha was upset that she was fixing dinner and Mary took off to listen to Jesus sitting at His feet. Martha was thinking Jesus would be on her side. As you read what Liz has to say and questions she ask I wonder if you were like me NEVER thought of those questions or felt something like Liz pointed out for you to ponder on. As the story unfolds in your mind and you feel the hurts and pain as the tears fall down your cheeks in streams as they did Mary and Martha’s. You could feel the pain in Jesus heart for He loved Lazarus. Yet you know the story of Lazarus he rises Jesus knew this would be one miracle to be told by Mary of Bethany. Then the story of Mary of Nazareth as the Mother of Jesus held Jesus and loved Him from His first breath to His last. Mary of Nazareth loyalty never wavered none in the least. Mary of Nazareth loved her son Jesus will all her heart. So as you read this story with Liz and her words to have you look even deeper into this story of Jesus from His first breath until His last breath you will ponder on the words that Liz leave you with. The time that the men left Him but the women never left Jesus. Mary Magdalene is the one that Jesus delivered seven demons from. Mary Magdalene was brave and stayed by Jesus her teacher side and was the one that told of His amazing resurrection. Liz again has questions for you to ponder on and things she thought about as she did the other two Mary’s that will have you seeing things in an entirely different way. Remember one amazing thing if nothing else these three Mary’s did not leave Jesus nor did they ever deny Him as the men did!!!!!!! Doesn’t that tell you who the brave ones are? At the end of the book there is a study guide which is very helpful. I feel with Liz and her questions or statements makes you stop and look at the three Mary’s in a deep way then before. I recommend this book highly. This book is a new way to see the stories of Jesus and also the three Mary’s that were faithful to Jesus. As you read this book you will find a new depth to Jesus and His relationships with these women. I received this beautiful book free from Bloggingforbooks for an honest review.
