His look will put a smile on your face. I guess you just have to get out of the city and head for the wide open spaces of the wild of Alaska so let’s get our snow boots, and go with Torry and his friend that has his back on their adventure in Alaska with laughs and lessons. As the chapter on “The Prodigal Reindeer” Torry thinks Santa’s Reindeer escapes and came to his house. Rudy is the reindeer’s name-he even has his address on his collar how special is that?? Rudy us like this prodigal son in Luke 15. You’ll be surprise who the owner of this prodigal reindeer is. Torry has all kinds of jobs in the camp sites and all kind of stories of while he was there. He’s witty, funny and the stories are so humorus that you don’t even realize you are headed for a scripture lesson. Torry is not afraid to laugh at himself something a lot of us can’t do. If you think you went to a righteous Church and the treat you as an outcast read “The Devil In Denim” and see what you find in that chapter. I love the fact the he weaves the stories right into a scripture that goes along with his problems at the camp. I love this book. If you want to have some good laughs along with some scripture thrown in the mix then this book will have you laughing and thinking of how God can use anything including Torry’s run ins with a goat, deer and moose and an outhouse yep you heard me right outhouse to bring you closer to God. I recommend this book highly. HAPPY LAUGHING!!! I received this book free from Harvest House Plublishers for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review just an honest one. The opinions I have expressed was entirely my own and no one else’s. 5 Stars ISBN 978-0-73896526-2
