God Made You Just Right By: Jill Roman Lord Illustrated by: Amy Wummer I so love the cover to this little book. The little boy laughing and enjoy playing with his puppy with a red hat beside of him flowers behind him and a white picket fence. In my day every young girl dreamed of a home with a picket fence. The pictures in this cute little book are of delightful happy children with pets, mothers and fathers and other children. This is the way children use to play with friends and pets when I was a kid now it’s so different. Along with the cute pictures are Rhyming words for a child’s ears to hear and remember the words and hopefully to pass down to their children for generations to come. What a fun way to have a child learn and remember that they are important and just the way God wanted them to be happy, laughing and enjoying their childhood. This book tells you how to have kind words to say to people. God made those tickly spots on your tummy and toes for mommy to find and make you laugh out loud with joy and be silly with happiness. This beautifully written book is just a delight for parents to read to their children to learn of what they really mean to God and how much God loves them just the way they are because he made them. I recommend this book highly for a mother and father to read and get their child started out knowing they are loved just the way they are!!! HAPPY GIGGLEING!!!!!!!!!!!!! I received this book free from Worthy Publishing House for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review just an honest one. The opinions I have expressed are entirely my own and no one else’s. 5 Stars ISBN 13:978-0-8249-1976-4

Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a comment Of Moose And Men Lost and Found In Alaska By: Torry Martin & Doug Peterson I love the cover of a big man that looks small facing a big Alaska Moose. His look will put a smile on your face. I guess you just have to get out of the city and head for the wide open spaces of the wild of Alaska so let’s get our snow boots, and go with Torry and his friend that has his back on their adventure in Alaska with laughs and lessons. As the chapter on “The Prodigal Reindeer” Torry thinks Santa’s Reindeer escapes and came to his house. Rudy is the reindeer’s name-he even has his address on his collar how special is that?? Rudy us like this prodigal son in Luke 15. You’ll be surprise who the owner of this prodigal reindeer is. Torry has all kinds of jobs in the camp sites and all kind of stories of while he was there. He’s witty, funny and the stories are so humorus that you don’t even realize you are headed for a scripture lesson. Torry is not afraid to laugh at himself something a lot of us can’t do. If you think you went to a righteous Church and the treat you as an outcast read “The Devil In Denim” and see what you find in that chapter. I love the fact the he weaves the stories right into a scripture that goes along with his problems at the camp. I love this book. If you want to have some good laughs along with some scripture thrown in the mix then this book will have you laughing and thinking of how God can use anything including Torry’s run ins with a goat, deer and moose and an outhouse yep you heard me right outhouse to bring you closer to God. I recommend this book highly. HAPPY LAUGHING!!! I received this book free from Harvest House Plublishers for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review just an honest one. RESET Jesus Changes Everything BY: Nick Hall I loved this cover for some reason it just grabbed my attention. It’s not a fancy cover like some of the books have but still attention grabber. Nick tells when a young girl came to one of his events for getting the word out about Jesus. Her name was Michelle, a young girl that looked healthy and she didn’t look like a girl struggling in life matter-in-fact she looked like a girl that played forward on her soccer team. As you read her story you will realize that just because you look healthy without a care in the world doesn’t mean that there isn’t a hurt person inside that body that needs help and understanding trying to find a way to a life that is different then what she/he is going through. How many times have you thought a person looked like they had everything going for them and you envied them and that they couldn’t possibly know what you are going through. Only to find out later that they may have cancer or was thinking about killing themselves? Sad isn’t it that we sometimes don’t know the depth of someone’s broken heart? I am guilty also of that and sadden and ashamed of myself when I find out their story. You’ll be sad after you read Michelle’s story. It just shows you how Jesus works in our lives and that reset is really something we all need. It’s a journey with you and Jesus at your side to help reset your faith, your outlook on your life, and so much more. You have to spend every day with Jesus in prayer, in his word every day it’s not a onetime visit with Jesus. Just talk to Jesus he loves it when you take time to talk to him and tell him your problems; ask Jesus to help you, to talk to you, to give you understanding, and to give you direction. Then listen for his soft voice or as I call it my gut feelings. He is a gentle loving Jesus. REMEMBER: It is Jesus who brings life and light It is Jesus who ushers in hope It is Jesus who defeated death and despair It is Jesus who wins in the end. If you go to a church that judges you that is not where you want to be find a church that will open up their arms and welcome you no matter what you wear, your back ground. They are not to judge you. If you have (knives, game control, pron, needles or razor blades or write down on a piece of paper) drop it in the garbage and get reset. You can be healed and happy. I didn’t say it would be easy but Jesus is always there you’re never alone on your travels. These people are screaming “Save me from myself”. I can’t do it alone. I received this book free from blogging for books for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review just an honest one.
