DOWN HOME WIT AND WISDOM By: Steve Chapman The cover never really told me a story. As most of you that read my reviews know I love to look and just ponder on the cover before diving into the book to see what story it might be holding all its own, but this one never told me anything. Since the cover never told me a story I had to open the pages and read and let Steven tell me his own story. I must say I can only explain it this way be ready for a new style of writing. He write wit and wisdom in his way, very unique way indeed. As I read into the chapters of this beautifully different writing chapter 15 caught my eye and I read it a few times maybe do to his way of writing and words. It is on “Don’t Mistake My Compassion for Stupidity”. Every parent should read this one. Or remember how some people brag before a game or dance contest about taking a trophy home? Interesting thought to ponder on 1 King, chapter 20 and read what the Bible says and don’t forget this “NEVER brag before a battle”—- Steven Chapman tells lessons well learned by wit and wisdom — you will laugh at his what I call “Hillbilly” style of words he uses very effective, to get across ways to help you deal, see or handle differently in a common down to earth way that may even having you go “Why didn’t I think of that”? Steven uses some of his wife’s and Mother’s, and Father’s wit too, so get ready for a totally new way to deal with problems you might have already tried one way and it didn’t work try Steven Chapman’s way. See how that works for you. Steven Chapman has written “A Look at a Life from a Deer Stand”. I know he has written more books and from what I understand very good books. Unfortunately I was unable to review those books darn. I recommend this book highly. I received this book free from Harvest House for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review just an honest one. The opinions I have given are entirely my own and no one else’s. 5 Stars ISBN 978-0-7369-6352-7
