Forgive, Let Go, and Live By Deborah Smith Pegues I love the cover of this book Butterflies have a special meaning for me as I belong to a woman’s group of butterflies. For me it tells a story of caterpillars changing into beautiful butterflies, others just stay caterpillars and ugly. It’s a woman’s Bible group. We’ve all done something against someone that we should go to them and ask forgiveness from them for what we’ve done then we are set free from bondage or maybe someone has done something to you that hurt you or they betrayed you and you’d like for them to come to you right? Jesus forgave each and every one of us for our sins and he wants us to do the same to those who trespass against us. It’s hard to forgive isn’t it? Yes I know I’ve been there on both sides of the fence. There are consequences for unforgiveness, it says that in the bible. So I am learning through this book that forgiveness is very important to God, but I knew that when I was young my dad always said forgive doesn’t mean you have to forget the hurt someone caused you but forgive and the hurt will turn into peace for you. There’s four parts to this book then at the back of the book there are prayers that address variety of hurts and offenses and will guide you in praying to release the person who has harmed you and to stands in faith for your deliverances from unforgiveness. There is so much beauty in this book that you really need to get this book. Through these scripture-based prayers and faith declaration, God will turn your ashes into beauty. BECOME A BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLY!!! I received this beautiful book free from Harvest House for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review just and honest one. The opinions I have expressed are entirely my own and no one else’s. 5 Stars ISBN 978-0-7399-6222-3

My Name Is Mahtob The Story That Began In The Global Phenomenon Not Without My Daughter Continues By: Mahtob Mahmoody I love to pick books by their cove something a friend and I started years ago as a joke. It remains with her and I because we found sometimes the cover tells a story all its own and usually the books are a great read. This cover shows a very young cute Mahtob Mahmoody instead of the beautiful woman that she is. Years ago a book was written by her Mother Betty Mahmoody called “Not Without My Daughter”. Then came the movie Betty Mahmoody was played by Sally Fields; one of my favorite actress ( I love anything she plays in). I read the book and lost the book in my move  I also watched the movie which held me on my seat until the movie was over. It had to be so horrifying going through everything her husband put Mrs. Mahmoody and her daughter through all those months. What they went through was horrible no one should have to go through this. Dr Mahmoody of course denied anything that the movie portrayed him as being a mean monster that he was he’d say how good they had it in Iran. I ask you would a child be that terrified of her father if it weren’t true and why would Mahlob feel terrified of him coming to America to kidnap her if she wasn’t so terrified of him and what he had done to her and her Mother. As a DR in the USA he was respected but he changed as they all do when they go back to their roots and give commitment to their Muslim culture. His threat to kill her mother had to be devastating. Mahlob was a brave little girl and became a brave young woman that lived in fear every day of her father. Mahlob did as the bible would have us do chose not to trust her father but she forgave her father but never forgot what he put them through she also remember the good times she use to have with her father while they lived in America. I often wondered what ever happened to Betty and her daughter throughout the years every time I saw what the Muslims and ISIS was doing to other countries besides our own beautiful USA and coming into our country and killing people without the President even calling it terrorism. So I was really excited when this book became available for me to review I wanted to find out the rest of the story and hear the way the daughters felt about the whole episode of the life she had to lead in Iran and leaving her beloved grandparents behind in America. My mind always went back to what happened to Mahlob and Mrs. Mahmoody now I found my answer after all this time. I know this happens to American women when they marry Muslim guys and trust them to go visit their home land and they may never return to USA soil again. My friend (I won’t give her name in case she is still in hiding) lived the life that Mrs. Mahmoody lived with her kids in Iran until her father and his Navy Seal friends helped get her and her kids back to USA. The stories she’d tell was horrifying I couldn’t imagine living that way ever. This book is a must have if you read Not Without My Daughter you need to find out from a child’s point of view how horrible it really is there under the thumbs of a heartless father or husband. I received this book free from Book look for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review just an honest one. The opinions I have expressed are entirely my own and no one else’s. THE MIDWIFE’S CHOICE A Home in Trinity #2 By: Della Parr The cover as always either catches my eye or it doesn’t. Either it tells me a story or it just lays there saying nothing at all. This book told me a story of life’s story of a time in history that has been forgotten by most especially the children of today. I loved the snowy picture and wondered how ladies truly stayed warm I those caps. A time where people had a hard life yet it was a good life. A time of along ago of how people that helped other people because of their kind hearts, money wasn’t always what most of these people cared about, they cared about each other first. This is a story of love, heartbreak, forgiveness and choice we make and most of all faith in our Lord. There are so many twists and turns it will have you turning the pages faster than ever to see what was going to happen next. Where and when was the next dilemma going to happen and to whom? Just as you figure out one problem then next one is around the barn waiting to happen and keep you wondering how it is all going to fit together like a quilt being made by the perfect quit maker. Calling all angels to help as you send up prayers to guide you out of the trouble you found yourself in. As they seem to take their sweet time as you desperately pray for them to show up yesterday not next week; some seem to be little pushy angels at that. But God always sends them in the nick of time and they don’t always do what you think they will do pushy little Cherubs. The writer did a fantastic job as you will smile at some of the way the line to the story goes, also make for a nice read. As you take a journey to church with the towns people where and Victoria is waiting to meet all her family and friends before leaving to go back to NYC, then their another couple that want to surprise the whole towns of Trinity, but the Church people have other ideas for this day. Wonder what they have planned for this day? The best part awaits after Church did I say the best part was at the church maybe the best part is at confectionery where life is as sweet as cherry pie and the sisterhood is as strong as the sweetness of the fresh fallen snow. HAPPY READING!!!!!! I recommend this book highly for a wonderful read. I received this book free from Bethany House for an honest review. Worship Changes Everything Experiencing God’s Presence In Every Moment of Life By: Darlene Zschech I love book covers because a lot of times I will sit and look at the cover while it tells me it’s own story about the book that I am about to read. Try it is amazing what a cover can tell you without words, if you have a good imagination (which I do). The beautiful, smiling face on this cover tells me she is at peace with whom she is and that she knows the secret of happiness that I found out not long ago is only found in Jesus no one else can truly make you happy even though that is what a lot of people think. The title of this book is so true worshipping the Lord does change you inside out. God gives you a peace beyond all understanding. We all have heard people tear us down and say we are not good enough or smart enough, or pretty enough so on. But that’s not true. We were all made unique by a God that loved us with all his heart that he gave his most precious gift His son to take on our sins, would anyone else do that? In this book I found the words of Victoria Osteen: We should all know that we are very important because God says we are important. The value God places on you is permanent. Nothing you can do. Nothing anyone else can do, will ever be able to change that. To that I say Amen—it is true and we are blessed. As you go on a journey through this beautiful book you will truly learn more of the way you worship will change everything about you. You will see your life change why wouldn’t you want to be around people that uplift you, support you and worship a glorious God you worship? Heaven is a place of peace, no sickness, no tears, happy and a place of love and Life. Have a great journey!!! I received this book free from Bethany House for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review just an honest one. The opinions I have expressed are entirely mine and no one else’s 5 Stars ISBN 978-0-7642-1427-1

THIS IS CAMINO By: Russell Moore, Allison Hopelain With Chris Colin I love cover it tells a story to me of a fine restaurant with wonderful food to try. This restaurant is in California where I have never been. So I’ve never heard of this restaurant – I am what you call a country bumcun. But it would be nice to try it and see just what the food is like and see the restaurant it’s self. Smokey Egg Plant caught my eyes as I love egg plant fixed different ways. I love all kinds of salads and they have wonderful verity in this cook book. So you can try one each day if you love salads that much or one a week whatever your heart’s desire is, yummy salads. There are so many good recipes to try out in this beautiful book. From reading the introduction page my first question would be why would they want to eat at home when they have such a lovely restaurant to sit in and enjoy plus all that different food that you’d be licking your lips to try. They could relax have someone fix their meal and just enjoy the atmosphere of the beautiful scenery then go home and not have to clean dishes or cook. I looked at the recipes and they look so good— but I think what amazed me more is the owner worked very hard to get to this place in his life plus he left a good job with perks because he had a dream—to me he’s saying if you have a dream follow it. I loved a couple of the salads and will try others as I go along and I really like the cook book and recipes but the story behind the making of the restaurant made this cook book even better, and enjoyable. HAPPY COOKING I received this beautiful cook book free from Blogging for books for an honest review. I was not required to give a positive review just and honest one. What If God Wrote Your Bucket List By: Jay Payleitner Jay takes you on a different kind of journey with different kind of Bucket list God’s. It’s absolutely true that God allows hardships and crisis in our lives to purify, prepare us for battle, and confirm our dependence on Him. But have you thought of what obstacles God already removed from your life so you can forge ahead to do great things. We always seem to have our own agenda. Have you ever stopped to wonder what God’s agenda maybe for you? I never thought of that I bet you never either if you’re honest with yourself. I just always thought of what I needed to do for myself and what I wanted done—but God also wants you to spend some time with him and to use your talents to Glorify Him. As Steve Brown said “I think I’ll trash my bucket list and use the one in Jay book because it is a much better than mine any way.” I’m too old to have a long list any way.” This book is a blessing to us that have a bucket list we can’t smile at anyway so why not use Jay’s and smile at what God has to change not only our lives but our heats too. I recommend this book highly. I received this beautiful book free from Harvest House for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review just an honest one. PARABLES The Mysteries Of God’s Kingdom Revealed Through The Stories Jesus Told By: John MacArthur I really love the cover of the dirty lamb because we are all dirty until Jesus cleans us. Nice cover to remind us of how we really are before Jesus comes and cleans us. I love John MacArthur books. He is a great author of many books, so I was excited when I saw this book for review and couldn’t wait to review it plus the parables of Jesus always fascinated me. Mr. MacArthur said “There roughly forty of the parables woven into the gospel record.” The aim of this book is to unfold the depths of the meaning in a representative sampling of Jesus parables, and to analyze the ingenious way he illustrated vital truths with everyday stories. Most of Jesus parables demand some kind of explanation. The parables that Jesus speaks have two major reasons for why Jesus uses them. First to hide the truth from the self-righteous who are not open to learning the truth. Second it is to reveal the truth to eager learners with child like faith. He left the Parables of the Prodigal Son excluded because MacArthur has written a whole book it’s called ‘A Tale of Two Sons.” I liked the fact that Jesus boldy challenged the Pharisees of their authority and clamed supreme authority for Himself. This book is very valuable, very powerful and gives you insight into the parables of Jesus teaching. There’s a workbook that goes along with this beautiful book to help you grow deeper into Jesus teachings. I recommend this book highly. Forgiven The Amish School Shooting, A Mother’s Love, And a Story of Remarkable Grace By: Terri Roberts with Jeanette Windle I do love the cover of this book soft colors and very smoothing to the eyes. I am sure everyone heard of the shooting at the Amish School house after all it was all over the news in every state. It happened on Oct. 2, 2006 seems like a life time ago to me but for the parents of the girls shot and hurt or killed and the mother of the shooter I am sure it is very fresh in their minds as if it were yesterday. The young man shot and killing five girls and wounding five girls, then taking his own life. The young man’s mother is writing this books and I am sure this brings back memories that one wishes never happened in the first place but to bring them back has got to be one of the hardest things a parent can go through. I can’t imagine how they all dealt with the heart aches and lose of such young lives and yet these beautiful Amish people had a heart big enough to forgive and help the mother of the shooter. Now that is grace. As you travel through this book on a journey no one wants to travel Mrs. Roberts shows the love and faith these beautiful people have of a Lord that they follow and believe in. I truly can’t imagine the thoughts that took residence in the mind of Mrs. Roberts as she tried to play the scene of these devastating accounts that have no answers and that leaves a family unsettled. The families of the girls killed and injured that forever will remain a mystery to the mother and the parents of the girls, as Mrs. Roberts writes this book trying to find the journey of her life, and trying to find answers that aren’t there to help put this at rest. Only God knows why and only when Mrs. Roberts reaches Heaven will God answer what is a forbidden answer here on Earth? I am sure the healing of all the families will take a very long time. I am also sure that forgiveness is one of the answers to the healing process that the Amish has learned long before any of us have. Healing is a long process but I am sure with God at your side the process goes just a little faster for God gives peace where no one else can. I recommend this book highly. It’s a hard read but a good read. I received this beautiful book free from Bethany house for an honest review. I was not required to give a positive review just an honest one. Identity Thief Exposing Satan’s Plan To Steal Your Purpose, Passion, and Power By: Robby Dawkins We were made for Great things but we limit God it’s not God that doesn’t want to give us all we should have it’s us. The Bible is full of people who did not think they were worthy for God. Look at Moses, Gideon how about Paul and many more we all fall short of God. You are in good company if you think you are unworthy of God of being used by the Lord in a mighty way. The key is to remain open and honest with God, with yourself and with others regarding who you really are. If you want to be strong and effective in the Lord Service, you have to believe you are worthy of all God has to offer you. The Devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy. In Joel 2:28 it says I will pour out My Spirit on all the people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, old men will dream dreams your young men will see visions. A book you’ll want to pick up and read and see where you are with the Lord. I recommend this book. I received this book free from Chosen for an honest review.
