The Trolley Problem
or
Would You Throw the Fat Guy Off the Bridge
By:
Thomas Cathcart
A runaway tram she see’s 5 people ahead on the track — you can either allow the tram to stay on the track and hit 5 people or hit the switch and only hit one person what would you do? Are you playing God by choosing or not? Then think of this wonder about a trolley hurling down the track headed for 5 people standing on the track beyond the footbridge but there was no siding to deflect the trolley, they needed something heavy to throw on the track but there was nothing but wait a fat man??????????
How would you decided to handle that situation, What choice would you make and how would you feel? All these scenarios they come up with are good you read and decide. Are you playing God or not? To me it would be a tough choice but you have to decided quick.
The big thing is do you know any of these people are any saved? Will they go to heaven or will they for ever be burning in Hell? That would be my problem. These jurors give reasons why they voted the way they did see which one you agree with and why.
All very good ways to think of it or have you thought of something different that they didn’t?
Remember these are just scenario.
The jury has spoken see the verdict, do you agree, were you shocked.
If you enjoy talking to other people and doing these kind of scenario then you’ll love this book! I loved it because it was different, it made my brain kick into a higher gear then what I am use to. How about you want to get your brain out of idle and into higher speed then read this book. I recommend this book especially for those that like to have to think and work at a problem solving situation.
I received this book free from Workman for an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review just an honest one. The opinions I have expressed are totally mine and no one else’s. Thanks Patrick for a good read and for believing in me.
