First let me say I did a rough drift, as I always do with all my reviews. I reread my draft and then went back to Preston’s book and there were two parts that I felt lead to reread first–
This one that caught my eye was: (1 Pet. 2:21-23 NLT) I took it from my Bible which says it a little different then what Preston wrote (P. 146) mine says: To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example that you should follow in his steps. He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth. When they hurled their insults at him he did not retaliate, when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.
In my first review I had put down won’t Jesus fight in the second coming? Well my question was answered for some reason it didn’t sink in when I first read it so I went back this is some of what I found–
I am glad because I had to redo my rough draft because God lead me to reread The Wrath of the LAMB, A BOOK DIPPED IN BLOOD.
It’s about the scriptures of Revelation (which I plan to get my Bible and rereading) it is clear to me I have missed a lot in those scriptures. Preston says Jesus will win not by blood shed of the enemy but because of the cross the blood that is on his white robe is Jesus own blood. The chapter is long and gives a different out look on Revelations. I feel you should read and see how you feel about what Preston see’s it or how you may see Revelations yourself, maybe this is where a good Pastor comes in handy and see his thought on it.
I know I am reading Revelation again and getting with my Pastor and get his insight on this.
All in All this is a good book if nothing else to make you stop and think long and hard and get that Bible out and see what God leads your heart to feel. After all God wrote the book he knows better then anyone what he means, we only read it and try to figure out what he means so we need God to truly talk to our hearts.
Maybe he did talk to Preston’s heart, that I don’t know.
There’s a lot in this book that I feel really is good. I may not agree with all of it but again maybe later on I will see where I was wrong and Preston is right if that is the case then I shorted him a star but until I do I gave him the 4 star sorry. Buy it and see what your thoughts are, maybe you will see his side better then I did. To satisify myself, I am rereading the book, maybe I need to meditate more on it.
I received this wonderful book free from David C Cook for an honest review. I was not obligated to write a positive review just an honest one. The opinions I have expressed are my own and no one else’s.
